"As it is in dealing with any situation in life, you can't get anywhere with out taking the first step."

  3. Insurance Consultation   If the scope of damages and repairs is going to be extensive, it may be necessary to file a claim on your Homeowners Insurance Policy.  Insurance Policies can be very confusing and it can be difficult for even a seasoned professional to decipher the policy language to determine coverages and deductibles.  We have personnel with years of experience in the insurance field to help you determine your coverages and walk you through the claims process.  (Please have a copy of your Homeowners policy available for to review with you.)
  4. Work Authorization  Great you have decided to choose us to beautifully restore your home.  We just need to complete the paperwork before we begin.
  5. Down Payment  Before we can begin we will need to collect a down payment for service.  The down payment amount will depend on the scope of damage or the amount of the deductible on your Homeowners Insurance if you have elected to file a claim.  Typically we require 50% of the deductible on Insurance claims and 50% of the total estimate on non insurance repairs.  These amounts will be deducted from the final invoice once work has been completed.
  6. Emergency Board Up and Tarping  In the event that the storm damage has compromised the structure we will perform the necessary steps to prohibit secondary water damage.  This process typically includes using plywood tarps and other material to protect the interior from further damage.
  7. Debris Removal  Once the structure has been secured against the elements, we can begin cleaning up any debris left by the storm.
  8. Adjuster  If you have filed a claim at some point during this process you will meet with your assigned Insurance Adjuster, he/she can then inform you of your coverage and how it will affect the water extraction and the build back of the damaged portions of the structure.  We are happy to be present when you meet with your adjuster if you wish, to answer any questions he/she may have.
  9. Rebuild, Replace or Repair   Now it is time to begin the process of making the needed repairs to get your home to it's pre-loss condition.  Depending on the extent of the damages this could be as simple as replacing shingles, replacing the entire roof or rebuilding.
  10. Build Back  Now that the structure is dry we can begin putting everything back together.  At this point anything that requires replacement or repair will be completed.   Any Contents needing to put back in place or unpacked will be done.  Once this process is complete you will be ready to enjoy your beautifully home again.
  11. Final Inspection and Punch list  Once we have completed everything we will walk through everything together to make sure you are completely satisfied with our work.  At this time if anything comes up that needs to be addressed it will be put on a final punch list.
  12. Payment  Once all of the items on the punch list (if any) have been addressed and you are satisfied with the work.  we will require final payment for the remaining balance.

Additional Steps If Structure Has Sustained Water Damage

  13. Water Extraction  If necessary, we will be extracting all the water we can through various methods.  These methods include a water extracting vacuum, carpet pad removal, removal of any saturated drywall and or trim boards.  Manipulating furniture to access affected areas as well as packing up any personal property that has to be moved.
  14. Dry out  Now that we have removed all of the moisture that we can with extraction, its time to finish drying the structure and contents.  This process will involve the use of Dehumidifiers, Air Movers and other drying equipment.
  15. Time  Once all of the drying equipment is set up it will need to run for typically three days, depending on the severity of the moisture sometimes longer, a technician may need to come by daily to inspect and manipulate the equipment to be sure the structure is being properly dried.
  16. Equipment Removal  Once the structure has been completely dried we will remove our equipment and do a final inspection of the dry-out.
